Computer simulation approach:-
u Detailed building-energy simulation programs
incorporate sets of mathematical
models that seek to
explain quantitatively how each component of a building behaves under given circumstances.
u The simulation findings will form a database from which simple charts and diagrams can be used to assess
the day lighting performance
and building’s
energy use of high-rise commercial buildings facing various orientations and external obstructions.
u Computer program
u The simulation tool employed is the Energy Plus building-energy simulation program.
u Energy Plus builds on the strengths of two widely-use programs, namely, BLAST and DOE-2 commonly used
to simulate various building’s energy schemes
u For day lighting
analysis, Energy Plus has an improved interior inter reflection calculation, reflection from neighboring buildings and handling of complex fenestration systems
